Bruntons
full team of designers, metalurgists and naval architects design
and manufacture propellers to the most exacting international standards
and classification society requirements.
The
company’s metallurgists have developed several alloys to ensure
that whatever the duty required of it, the propellers we manufacture
will provide excellent performance and long life. These alloys include
high strength Nikalium and Superston, which are specifically for
propellers requiring maximum strength and corrosion resistance.
A high tensile manganese bronze alloy is available for less demanding
applications and propellers manufactured from a choice of several
grades of stainless steel are available depending on customer requirements.
Bruntons
propellers are designed for each application to ensure that the
principal requirements of minimal noise and vibration, linked to
maximum efficiency and speed are provided. The propeller designs
are skewed and raked to maximise the clearances from the hull, skeg
and rudder.
Complimenting
the quality of design are the highest standards of manufacture with
full CNC machining of blade surfaces and an emphasis on quality
control and inspection procedures.
In addition
to propellers Bruntons design and manufacture the whole sterngear
package from gearbox to propeller cone ensuring a totally co-ordinated
design given smooth, vibration free running. More details
